Since its inception in 2004 as the Skills Development Centre, CSDS has evolved into a leading provider of clinical skills training and simulation education. While based at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital campus in Herston, CSDS expanded its reach through the Pocket Centre Network (PCN), delivering training to regional, rural and remote areas.

In 2011, CSDS rebranded to reflect its broader scope and mission. Today, CSDS continues to innovate, with initiatives like QuILL, the Queensland Innovation Living Lab and partnering with other departments and organisations – fostering collaboration and problem-solving.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, CSDS remains committed to supporting clinical staff in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and advancing clinical skills.
